Arburg: Training opportunities and digitalisation at Fakuma Career Friday

Arburg will take part in Career Friday at Fakuma 2026 on 16 October 2026. More than 60 apprentices and trainers will support the machine manufacturer's trade fair team that day. At Arburg's stand, the programme is aimed at school pupils, university students and those starting their careers, combining information on apprenticeships and degree programmes with insights into plastics processing.

Guided tours of the stand are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The focus will be on the trade fair theme "Smartest Factory". The apprentices will explain how injection moulding technology, digital assistance systems, AI-supported functions, automation and turnkey production systems work together, as well as how production is connected along the value chain. They will also present the apprenticeships and degree programmes offered by Arburg.

Hands-on activities include a virtual welding simulator with a VR headset, which Arburg uses in its training. A virtual 360-degree tour also provides insights into the training centre at the company's headquarters in Lossburg. Visitors can use foldable 3D glasses in combination with their smartphones for this purpose.

Prof. Andreas Fath from Furtwangen University will also be at the stand. The Arburg brand ambassador campaigns for clean waterways and against microplastics. He will be available to answer questions about the relationship between plastics and sustainability.

According to the company, Arburg has trained more than 2,400 young people over a period of more than 75 years. Its training programme holds three quality certifications. On Career Friday, trainers and careers staff will provide advice on apprenticeships, degree programmes and direct entry into employment. Applications can be submitted at the stand or online.
