At the Fakuma 2008 Ferromatik Milacron (www.ferromatik.com) presents a total of seven injection molding machines, four of which will be seen on the own booth B3-3203 and three on the booths of partners. From the standard machine range the two new special models, the BASE-TEC and the ELEKTRA selection, will be exhibited. And from the high-end machine segment the new special model CAP-TEC XL and a monosandwich machine from the MAXIMA series will be seen. New Special Models BASE-TEC and ELEKTRA selection from the Standard Machine Sector The BASE-TEC is an economical special model in the proven K-TEC series with a generous list of standard features - which can be extended with a predetermined set of options. The German-engineered machine is built and assembled under Ferromatik Milacron´s supervision by an Asian partner. Local Ferromatik Milacron technicians handle installation at the customer´s facility. The BASE-TEC is available in four clamping force configurations from 400 to 1,100 kN and is priced from 34,800 €. The BASE-TEC is available for delivery within weeks. At the Fakuma a BASE-TEC 60 with 600 kN clamping force produces a component for the electrical & telecommunication sector. The ELEKTRA selection is an attractive new special model in Ferromatik Milacron´s all-electric series with a selected list of optional equipment. The ELEKTRA selection provides proven technology at a reasonable price with a short delivery time. The new machine offers the same high-quality standard components as the ELEKTRA evolution. A list of practical options will allow injection molders to customize the ELEKTRA selection for their specific requirements. The new special model is available in clamping force sizes of 500, 750, and 1,100 kN - each with a choice of three high performance injection units for a total of nine combinations. Manufactured in Germany, pricing for the ELEKTRA selection starts at 55,500 € with delivery within six to eight weeks. At the Fakuma an ELEKTRA selection 110 with 1,100 kN clamping force will produce a medical application. New Special Model CAP-TEC XL with GreenLine Program from the High-end Machine Segment The special CAP-TEC hybrid injection molding machine for caps and closures introduced on the market in 2006 - a special model of the K-TEC series - has in the meantime "come of age" and become so successful that it has been extended by an XL-version for any packaging. The CAP-TEC XL special model is a long-stroke version with enlarged opening width and available in the three clamping force sizes 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 kN. At the Fakuma a CAP-TEC 200 XL with 2,000 kN clamping force demonstrates how well the XL-version is suited for packaging applications. Also Ferromatik Milacron´s new energy-saving GreenLine program will be presented on this exhibit. Alongside the efficient electric screw drive, the CAP-TEC XL includes an energy optimized accumulator management as a standard. The hydraulic accumulator is filled only as much as required for the current application. The GreenLine program helps to avoid costly energy peaks by preventing parallel functions when they are not strictly required. Saving Material Costs with the Monosandwich Machine of the MAXIMA Series Next to the three special models a MAXIMA 650 MSW with 6,500 kN clamping force and monosanwich will round off the machine portfolio at the Fakuma. By means of a consumer goods item this exhibit will demonstrate how the monosandwich process patented by Ferromatik Milacron can save material costs with the use of recycled material in the non-visible interior of the component. Three Additional Machines on the Booths of Partners More injection molding machines by Ferromatik Milacron will be seen on partner booths: From the new special models an ELEKTRA selection 50 with 500 kN clamping force will be exhibited on booth A2-2211 of the Berger Spritzgieß-Technikum and an ELEKTRA selection 75 with 750 kN clamping force on booth A2-2203 of Ewikon Heißkanalsysteme. On booth B4-4106 of ONI Temperiertechnik a K-TEC 155 with 1,550 kN clamping will be presented.
