Wittmann Group concentrates its resources in Great Britain

From 1 February 2009 the Wittmann UK and Battenfeld UK subsidiaries which were previously managed separately will concentrate their forces and unite to become the sales and services company “Wittmann Battenfeld UK” (www.wittmann.co.uk) with its head office in Wellingborough.

All the sales and service activities for the whole of Great Britain will be coordinated centrally from Wellingborough. The company will have its own “show room” – equipped with presentation equipment and peripherals – for presentation, test and training purposes. Machines will constantly be kept available to permit customers to be supplied rapidly when required.

Barry Hill, previously Managing Director of Wittmann UK, will be in charge of the new subsidiary. Mr Hill, who started his career as a service engineer at Battenfeld, has worked for the Wittmann Group for over 26 years. He will be supported by a team of 19 people who are also experienced Wittmann and Battenfeld employees.

Mr Hill is confident: "Merging the subsidiaries will make us stronger in the future and ensure that our customers will receive prompt and expert advice in all matters – true to our motto ‘Everything from a single source for injection moulding’“.
