Production of agglomerate slabs or panels regardless the type of wood
|
A group of researchers from a Portuguese university developed a process to produce agglomerated slabs regardless of the nature of wood fibres (fibre from hardwoods or resinous trees) maintaining the quality unchanged. The process consists in impregnating the fibre wood with a pre-polymer and possibly a catalyst. Products from this process of agglomeration have possible applications in the construction and furniture industries. Researchers seek partners to producte prototypes and licensing.
