Unsaturated Polyester for Electrostatic Discharge

Two French SMEs have developed a new polyester modified with an organic polymer adding conductive properties. This polyester can be used for to avoid explosion (for example for silos, electric unit, floor), for producing mould for electrostatic spraying and to substitute the bronze mesh in aeronautic. This polymer is different than a carbon filler since the electric resistance is isotropic in the material. The companies are looking forward technical and commercial cooperation.
