Generative procedures are becoming established. The manufacturers and users of these production techniques are convinced of this. Thanks to the rapid prototyping procedure, products can now be developed and tested faster, better and more cheaply. Especially for the innovative industries, above all the automobile and automobile supplier industry, medical technology and the electrical and electronics industry, the procedures are now part of everyday work.
Improved materials and processes not only allow the manufacturing of prototypes, but also the direct manufacturing of products. Because no tools are necessary in this generative production, complex products can be manufactured directly and sold commercially even in small series or as individual pieces. Rapid manufacturing is thus opening up entirely new possibilities, even for small and medium-sized firms.
Whoever wants to fully utilize this potential must know the processes and materials as well as the changed basic conditions. Rapid.Tech allows swift entry into the subject. Lectures based on practical use and presentations for the experts are here ideally combined. Interested people from all industries will therefore be using this trade fair as a fast and intensive way of finding out more.
On the 26th and 27th May 2009, the 6th Rapid.Tech will once again be inviting people to Erfurt for an interdisciplinary exchange of experiences. Here the proven combination of realistic trade exhibition, user conference and designer day will be continued.
On the schedule of the users’ conference are reports of experiences and visions of the future, but also ecological, political and social aspects of rapid manufacturing. The designer day offers information and discussions on everything to do with construction, design and industrial practice using rapid technologies. The trade exhibition will be running parallel to this.
