This is one of the most important international exhibitions dedicated to the plastics processing sector in Europe. The fair event in question is PLASTPOL (www.plastpol.com), the 11th edition of which will be organized by Kielce Trade Fairs on 29 May - 1 June this year. The range of products to be exhibited during this trade fair encompasses the latest achievements in the field of plastics processing: equipment, moulds and tools used in this sector, various types of plastics, components, recycling technologies, as well as special IT systems applied in the plastics processing industry. Technological solutions and final products are also exhibited by companies dealing with plastic packaging. What constitutes a characteristic feature of PLASTPOL is product presentations accompanied by practical demonstrations of particular technologies, which are made at exhibition stands. There is also an opportunity to see the whole production cycle implemented in the plastics processing sector. Visitors and exhibitors can also participate in numerous conferences and seminars addressing the latest developments and trends emerging in the plastics processing industry. This is one of the fastest growing fair events. The first edition of PLASTPOL, held in 1997, took up a space of 800 square metres and attracted 83 exhibitors, while the currently used exhibition space amounts to more than 10,000 square metres used by 700 exhibitors, with about half of them coming from abroad. In recognition of the development dynamics and the well-established international reputation of PLASTPOL, this year this fair event was honoured with a European Medal for Services, which is given by the Business Centre Club and the Office of the Committee for European Integration. This is the sixth such medal in the history of Kielce Trade Fairs. Before PLASTPOL received it, this award had been given to TRANSEXPO, METAL, SACROEXPO, MSPO and AUTOSTRADA – POLSKA. The International Fair of Plastics Processing is also one of the three exhibitions organized by Kielce Trade Fairs that enjoy membership of the elite Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), which brings together the world´s best fair events. PLASTPOL´s being a member of the UFI guarantees that this exhibition can offer international quality, high organizational standards and significance for the plastics processing sector.
