Borealis: Local fire at the steam cracker in Stenungsund, Sweden

On Saturday evening at 20.45 CEST a local fire occurred at the steam cracker at Borealis‘ production location in Stenungsund, Sweden. The emergency plan was immediately activated by the local crisis team, reports the company. According to that the fire brigade arrived on site promptly and took steps to contain the fire. Thanks to the quick mobilisation of the fire brigade, the fire was contained Sunday morning at 5.15 and the situation is now fully under control.
