Trinseo: Price Decrease for Polystyrene and SAN in Europe

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe recently announced a price decrease for all polystyrene (PS) and SAN grades. Effective June 1, 2021, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will decrease as follows:

  • "Styron" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by -290 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech" and "Styron C-Tech" and „Styron X-Tech“ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by -290 Euro per metric ton
  • "Tyril" SAN resins by -170 Euro per metric ton
