Trinseo: Price Increase for Polystyrene and Copolymers in Europe

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe announced today a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), ABS, and SAN grades. Effective, October 1, 2021, or as existing contract terms allow the contract and spot prices for the product listed below will increase as follows:

  • "Styron" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by + 55 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech" and "Styron C-Tech" and „Styron X-Tech“ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by + 55 Euro per metric ton
  • "Magnum" ABS resins by + 60 Euro per metric ton
  • "Tyril" SAN resins by + 45 Euro per metric ton
