Trinseo: Price Increase for Polystyrene and Copolymers in Europe

Trinseo, a specialty material solutions provider, and its affiliate companies in Europe yesterday announced a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), ABS and SAN grades, mostly based on raw material cost increases for styrene production. Effective March 1, 2023, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • "Styron" and "Styron X-Tech" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by +70 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech", "Styron C-Tech" and "Styron X-Tech" high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by +70 Euro per metric ton
  • "Magnum" ABS resins by +30 Euro per metric ton
  • "Tyril" SAN resins by +30 Euro per metric ton
