The Serafin Group has sold Perga GmbH to US plastics processing specialist Inteplast Corporation. The sale is considered an important strategic step for the manufacturer of films and packaging and is intended to lay the foundation for future international growth. According to a press release, managing director Fabian Wilhelms will continue to run the company. Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Founded in 1970 and based in Walldürn, Perga is a long-established supplier of industrial films and packaging with an integrated value chain in the areas of extrusion, printing and converting. The company is now part of the Inteplast Group from the USA. For Inteplast, the acquisition marks its entry into the European market.
