Organized by Myceppi, the Central European Plastics Meeting (CEPM) 2025 will take place from 16–18 September in Budapest, focusing on the pressing challenges facing the European chemicals and plastics industry. Key topics include regulatory pressure, cost developments, recycling strategies and the role of innovation in maintaining global competitiveness.

The first day opens with a panel discussion on whether Europe’s chemical industry can regain its competitiveness. The session includes a market outlook from Martin Bäcker (Plastics Information Europe) and a debate titled “The Mathematics of Plastics: How to Make Money in Today’s Economy and Overcome Market Challenges” with contributions from industry leaders. The day also features the presentation of an industry declaration to the European Commission and an international workshop on the circular economy.
