Corvaglia: Strategic Collaboration with Wisecap to Strengthen European Closure Production

The Corvaglia Group and Italian packaging specialist Wisecap have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at reshaping the production of beverage closures in Europe. The goal is to enhance supply security for beverage fillers while driving technological advancement in the closure sector.

A core element of the agreement is the integration of the closure production of Corvaglia Closures Eschlikon AG into Wisecap’s European production network, which includes sites in Italy, the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, and Egypt. In return, the Corvaglia Group will acquire a minority stake in Wisecap and provide its partner with injection-molding technology as well as innovative closure designs.

With this step, Corvaglia reaffirms its global orientation: while the European value chain will be jointly served with Wisecap going forward, the company will remain fully active in the USA and Mexico across the entire process—from development and mold making to the production and application of closures.

For European customers, the partnership will create an expanded range of closure solutions. They are expected to benefit from Wisecap’s production capacities and product diversity, as well as from Corvaglia’s expertise in mold making and the development of new closures. Wisecap anticipates shorter innovation cycles, improved technical support, and greater supply flexibility through the cooperation. Both companies assure a smooth transition and the continued supply of existing customers of Corvaglia Closures Eschlikon AG.
