Feddersen Group: New Competence Center for Plastics and Recycling Technology in Bredasten, Värnamo, Sweden

The Feddersen Group is establishing a new competence center for plastics processing and recycling technology in Bredasten (Värnamo, Sweden). By doubling the previous floor space, the aim is to create a practice-oriented location that brings together demonstrations, test runs, training sessions, and customer-focused development projects under one roof. The investment is being made despite the currently weak economic climate and is part of the company’s long-term strategy to sustainably strengthen the competitiveness and profitability of the plastics and recycling industry.

With the planned opening in December 2026, K.D. Feddersen Plastics Machinery, K.D. Feddersen Distribution, and K.D. Feddersen Norden Holding will relocate to the new building. This will create an integrated site that covers the entire value chain—from raw materials to machinery and automation technology through to service and circular economy concepts.

The center is designed to enable customers to test complete production cells under real-world conditions, validate processes, and optimize material selection—including recyclates. Additional services will include application support, energy efficiency analyses, material and data analysis, as well as training programs. The goal is to shorten development times and further improve production processes in terms of quality and cost-efficiency.

The responsibility for development and construction lies with RPZ Fastigheter. The Feddersen Group will move into the new facility as a tenant. The Värnamo location is set to become a central hub for all Nordic activities and for the group’s eight companies overall, providing a modern working environment for current and future employees.
