Shibaura Machine LWB: Dr. Daniel Ammer Appointed Executive Vice President Global Engineering

Effective February 1, 2026, Dr. Daniel Ammer has assumed the position of Executive Vice President Global Engineering at Shibaura Machine LWB GmbH. In this role, he is responsible across the Group for the further development of the global injection molding machine portfolio within the Shibaura Machine Group.

His responsibilities include the strategic and technical alignment of the horizontal and vertical injection molding machine programs at the development sites in Japan, India, and Germany. Together with the respective local heads of development, the existing portfolio is to be further developed in a market-oriented manner and secured for the long term. A key focus is the advancement of electric and hydraulic injection molding machines with regard to performance, precision, and efficiency. In addition, Dr. Ammer is responsible for defining a Group-wide development roadmap addressing current and future market requirements, as well as for establishing globally harmonized development structures.

Dr. Daniel Ammer brings many years of experience in the plastics machinery industry. He studied mechanical engineering and earned his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich. During his 13 years at KraussMaffei, he was responsible, among other things, for the development of several injection molding machine series. He subsequently served for four and a half years as Vice President Research & Development at PlastiVation Machinery GmbH. In this role, he led, among other projects, the development of the high-speed hybrid injection molding machine “Tederic Innova,” which was presented at K 2025.
