Biesterfeld: Jonas Borgsten appointed Global Business Director Engineered Polymers

As of March 1, 2026, Jonas Borgsten has assumed the position of Global Business Director for the Engineered Polymers business unit at the Biesterfeld Group. He succeeds Martin Rathke, who is leaving the company after more than 18 years.

Borgsten joined the Biesterfeld Group in 2024. A graduate with Master's degrees in Business Administration and Polymer Science, he possesses many years of experience in sales, commercial leadership, and global P&L responsibility. Previously, he held positions at internationally active companies such as Dow Chemical and DuPont.

Most recently, as Regional Director North, Borgsten was responsible for the strategic development of Biesterfeld's polymer business in the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries. He will continue to hold this role while additionally taking on global responsibility for the Engineered Polymers business unit.

The Engineered Polymers business unit is considered a central element of the Biesterfeld Group's international orientation and future development. With this new appointment, the company aims to ensure continuity while further strengthening this business area both strategically and operationally.
