Lanxess: Price increase for flame retardants, plasticizers and other specialty additives

Specialty chemicals group Lanxess is increasing prices for its polymer additives with immediate effect. The adjustments include price increases of up to 35 percent for flame retardants and specialty additives, and up to 50 percent for plasticizers. As the company further states, this decision reflects in particular the ongoing cumulative cost increases. These include significantly higher costs for energy, critical raw materials and logistics against the backdrop of continuing geopolitical tensions. Advert Despite intensive efforts to cushion rising costs and maintain stable prices, an adjustment has become necessary in order to ensure the long-term reliability and sustainability of supplies.
