Evosys + Dax Research: Expanding collaboration in laser plastic welding for the US market

Evosys Laser GmbH and Dax Research are expanding their existing collaboration in the field of laser plastic welding. The aim is to strengthen sales, service, and application support structures for the North American market and to provide more direct support to customers in the United States.

According to their own statements, both companies have more than 15 years of experience in laser plastic welding and have already been working together on a project basis since 2010. Building on this long-standing relationship, the partnership is now to be further developed in a more structured and strategic way.

The main focus is on expanding Evosys’s market presence in North America. Through the closer cooperation with Dax Research, customers on the US West Coast will gain direct access to sales services, technical support, and application assistance for laser plastic welding. Together with the existing Evosys location in Detroit, this is intended to enable more comprehensive coverage of the US market.

The partnership includes in particular sales and technical consulting for laser plastic welding applications, local service and support close to customers, as well as close coordination with the Detroit location. In addition, the companies plan to jointly develop and implement customized welding solutions for specific customer requirements.

Evosys notes that the division of regional responsibilities and the closer operational collaboration are expected to result in shorter response times and more direct points of contact for the American market.

Evosys Laser GmbH develops and manufactures systems for the laser welding of plastics at its Erlangen site. According to the company, its range of services includes not only system technology, but also design consulting, sample production in its in-house technical center, and solutions for integration into automated production environments.
