Kreyenborg: Spare parts and service for underwater pelletizing become third business unit

Kreyenborg is expanding its plastics business to include an aftermarket offering for underwater pelletizing. Starting in April, the machinery and plant manufacturer from Senden will offer spare parts, upgrades, and services for installed systems in the market. The new business area complements the existing segments of infrared technology for plastics, plastics recycling, and food.

The future portfolio will include items such as die plates, carriers, knives, and components for retrofits. The aim is to provide customers with existing systems better spare parts availability, technical support, and shorter response times. Spare parts will be stocked at the Münsterland site to reduce delivery times and limit system downtime.

With the aftermarket business, Kreyenborg aims to establish a third pillar alongside its two existing infrared business segments for plastics/plastics recycling and food. The expansion primarily affects the plastics segment, which is to be further strengthened through investments in a technical center and IT systems.

The market launch is planned for the “Plastics Recycling Show Europe” in early May in Amsterdam. For Kreyenborg, entering the aftermarket segment is also a step toward securing the long-term future of the Senden production site and further positioning itself as a specialized provider in melt management for plastics processing.
