The Baerlocher Group is restructuring its organizational setup in Europe. Effective July 1, 2026, the operating business of the existing Baerlocher GmbH will be transferred to the newly established Baerlocher Germany GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Lingen. The new company will assume responsibility for the European business and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Baerlocher GmbH, which will in future operate exclusively as a holding company. With this reorganization, Baerlocher is separating its operational activities in Germany and Europe from its central holding functions. According to the company, this is intended to provide clearer responsibilities, simplify decision-making processes, and strengthen the company's focus on the requirements of European markets. In the future, Baerlocher Germany GmbH & Co. KG will be responsible for the PVC stabilizers and specialty additives business segments within the European sales region. Existing contacts and business relationships for customers will remain unchanged. The new company will be managed by Dr. Thomas Doege. He points to the continuing challenging market conditions in Europe and emphasizes the importance of supply reliability, product quality, and technical support within the global Baerlocher network. The company also aims to further advance Baerlocher’s sustainability activities in the European market. A key focus will be on solutions that support regulatory requirements. As an example, Baerlocher highlights the "Baerolub AID" product family, which can be used as a PFAS-free alternative to processing aids in polymer applications. The products are designed to enable high productivity and cost efficiency, particularly in film production, while helping plastics processors comply with the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The Baerlocher Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of plastic additives. The company has a history spanning around 200 years and operates in the fields of PVC additives and specialty additives for both polymer and non-polymer applications. Its portfolio includes metal soaps, oleochemical products, and complex additive systems. Sustainability, the use of renewable raw materials, and support for recycling processes are among the group's strategic priorities. More information: www.baerlocher.com |
