Wago: Björn Twiehaus to Become New CEO in September

The Wago Group has appointed Björn Twiehaus as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The 48-year-old will take over the leadership of the family-owned company, headquartered in Minden, on September 15, 2026. He succeeds Jürgen Koopsingraven, who has been serving as interim CEO in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will now return his full focus to the finance function.

With this appointment, Wago continues the realignment of its executive leadership. The company is one of the world's leading providers of electrical interconnection and automation technology and employs around 9,000 people worldwide.

Björn Twiehaus brings many years of international management experience in the electronics and automotive supplier industries. Most recently, the mechanical engineering graduate served as CEO of the Marquardt Group, a family-owned mechatronics specialist. Before that, he spent more than 20 years with automotive supplier Forvia Hella. Since 2020, as a member of the Management Board, he was responsible for the Electronics business division, driving growth in areas including electric mobility, autonomous driving, and connectivity. Twiehaus studied mechanical engineering in Osnabrück and also completed a degree in business administration.

According to the company, Twiehaus will continue to drive Wago's international expansion as well as its technological and business development. With his appointment, the company's executive management team is once again fully staffed.
