Nordmann Partners with Turkey’s Politem for Engineering Plastics Distribution in Europe

Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH, Hamburg, has entered into a distribution partnership with Turkish compound producer Politem Plastik ve Tekstil Pazarlama Sanayi Dış Ticaret A.Ş. Since September 2026, Nordmann has been distributing Politem’s engineering plastic compounds across the Benelux countries, the DACH region, France, the Nordic region, and Central and Eastern Europe. For the purposes of the agreement, the Nordic region includes the Baltic states, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Politem manufactures engineering thermoplastics and recycled-content compounds for applications in industries including automotive, electrical and electronics, household appliances, construction, and packaging. A particular focus is on the processing of post-industrial recycled materials, while the company also uses post-consumer recyclates. Depending on application requirements, compounds can be formulated with recycled content ranging up to 100%.

Under the agreement, Nordmann will distribute Politem’s full product portfolio in the designated markets. The range includes the “RugoPA” and “RugoPPA” polyamide product families as well as engineering compounds based on PBT, PET, POM, PP, PC, and ABS. The portfolio also includes customized blends and formulations developed for specific application requirements.

Founded in 2006, Politem combines recycling, compounding, and trading activities. The company operates a production site in Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ Province, Turkey, with an annual capacity of up to 60,000 tonnes. According to Politem, production capacity has been expanded gradually since the company began manufacturing compounds.

The partnership broadens Nordmann’s offering of engineering thermoplastics and recycled-content compounds in several European markets. Customers will have access to both virgin materials and grades with varying levels of recycled content. At the same time, the agreement supports Politem’s efforts to further expand its sales presence in Europe.

Nordmann is an international chemical distributor with subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and North America. The company supplies natural and chemical raw materials, additives, and specialty chemicals. For 2025, Nordmann reports 563 employees and revenue of EUR 515 million.
