Maurer Kunststofftechnik GmbH is presenting its PEEK recyclate range and a concept for customer-specific reprocessing of production scrap at Fakuma 2026. The material range includes unreinforced, glass-fibre- and carbon-fibre-reinforced, as well as tribologically modified grades based on selected, defined feedstock streams. The polyetheretherketone (PEEK) recyclates are intended to meet a variety of technical component requirements. While unreinforced grades are designed to offer a balanced property profile, glass-fibre-reinforced variants target increased stiffness and dimensional stability. Carbon-fibre-reinforced formulations are designed for high stiffness under demanding mechanical conditions. Tribologically modified materials are intended for applications in which friction, wear and sliding behaviour are key factors. Another focus of the trade fair presentation is the customer-specific recycling of suitable PEEK production scrap, such as segregated start-up parts and sprues. The materials are collected separately and reprocessed according to their composition. The aim is to establish customer-specific material loops in which production scrap is reused in suitable applications. Reprocessing is tailored to the material type, reinforcement, modification and desired property profile. According to the company, recyclates produced from segregated, defined feedstocks under controlled processing conditions can achieve properties close to those of corresponding virgin materials. This depends on the material, the batch and the specific requirements. The agreed specification and the intended component application determine suitability for reuse. With the range presented at Fakuma 2026, Maurer Kunststofftechnik aims to support the reuse of high-quality production scrap and the establishment of internal material loops.
