Haitian International Germany GmbH, based in Ebermannsdorf, Germany, has established automation as an integral part of its European portfolio in 2026. As the company further announced on the occasion of Fakuma 2026, Haitian designs and integrates automated production cells for plastics processing, ranging from standardised part removal systems to turnkey installations. To this end, the company draws on its own engineering capabilities, technologies from its "Haitian Smart Solutions" division and specialised regional partners. According to the company, initial projects of varying complexity have already been completed in Germany.Four Automation Levels and Ten Functional Modules The portfolio is divided into four levels: "Pick-up and Placement", "Pick-up and Placement+", "Medium-Level Automation" and "High-Level Automation". The basic configuration includes a robot, a conveyor belt and a protective enclosure for automated part removal. The extended version can also incorporate roller conveyors, multi-level conveyors and drawer systems. More comprehensive installations include additional process functions and customer-specific integrations. Ten combinable functional modules are available in Europe: "Part Handling", "Degating", "Insert Loading", "Laser Processing", "Vision Inspection", "Wrapping", "Weight Inspection", "Tool Changer", "Assembly" and "Palletising". This allows inspection, processing and assembly operations to be integrated into a production cell alongside part removal. Linear Robots and Planned Model Extensions For handling operations, Haitian uses linear robots from its "V Series" and "XTD Series", among others. The "XTD Series" features a movable Y-axis and is particularly designed for long moulded parts and applications involving deep mould cavities. High-speed versions are also available for specific production requirements. The manufacturer has announced further robot models for 2027, offering higher speeds, increased precision and additional payload classes. Specific performance data has not yet been disclosed. Local Project Engineering and Partner Integration Systems up to and including "Medium-Level Automation" are designed and implemented by Haitian International Germany using products manufactured in-house. For "High-Level Automation", in-mould labelling and other complex turnkey projects, the company assumes overall project responsibility and involves specialised regional automation partners. This provides customers with a single point of contact for project coordination and overall responsibility, while individual process functions can be supplied by partners. Looking ahead, the manufacturing capacities of Haitian Machinery in Ruma, Serbia, are also expected to support the expansion of the European automation portfolio.
