The Ensinger Group opened a machining facility for engineering and high-performance plastics in Bangalore, India, on 22 October 2026. The facility, located in the High Tech Aerospace & Defence Park, manufactures customised plastic components locally. According to the company, the site is expected to employ more than 50 people. With the new facility, Ensinger is expanding its existing operations in India to include the local production of machined components. Its Indian subsidiary, Ensinger India Engineering Plastics Pvt. Ltd., already operates a sales office in Thane and a warehouse for semi-finished products in Bhiwandi, both in the Mumbai metropolitan region. The machining facility thus complements the company's existing sales and warehousing network. Certification for Aerospace Applications The facility is certified to AS9100. The scope of certification covers the manufacture of precision-machined products made from engineering and high-performance plastics for the aerospace and defence industries, as well as general industrial applications. The certification is particularly important for integration into aerospace supply chains. Other target industries include semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, oil and gas, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, and the food and beverage industry. With this investment, Ensinger is combining its range of semi-finished products in India with local machining capabilities, expanding its manufacturing capabilities for customised plastic components. No information is available on the investment amount or production capacity. More information: www.ensingerplastics.com, www.ensingerplastics.com/en-in |
