Trinseo: Price increase for Polystyrene, Polycarbonate and Copolymers in Europe

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics and latex binders, and its affiliate companies in Europe yesterday announced a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), ABS and SAN grades. Effective March 8 or as existing contract terms allow the contract and spot prices for the products listed below have been adjusted to reflect current market conditions as follows:

  • "Styron" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by +350 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech", "Styron C-Tech" and "Styron X-Tech" high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by +350 Euro per metric ton
  • "Calibre" Polycarbonate Resins by +500 Euro per metric ton
  • "Magnum" ABS resins by +350 Euro per metric ton
  • "Tyril" SAN resins by +350 Euro per metric ton
