Ascend: First acquisition in China
|
Ascend Performance Materials recently announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of NCM (Changshu) Co, Ltd. and Tehe Engineering Plastic (Suzhou) Co, Ltd. located in Changshu Yushan High-Tech Industrial Park (known as "The Park"), one of the most important industrial parks in China's eastern coastal region, 100 kilometers outside Shanghai. Advert Ascend plans to expand the compounding facilities at the site and establish a global research and development center focusing on existing applications in the automotive, electrical and electronics, consumer and industrial markets, as well as new applications in areas such as 3D printing and high-performance films.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Ascend plans to take over the final ownership in August. More information: www.ascendmaterials.com |
