A German non-profit research organisation has developed novel inks and powders for the mold-free technique of 3D printing of polymer prototypes and spare parts, as used in rapid manufacturing. The disadvantages of the existing 3D technology, in particular the porosity, the surface roughness and the inaccurate shape of the parts, have been overcome. The organisation is looking for partners for joint development and testing.
