WITTMANN BATTENFELD has received an award in the category „machines and equipment for plastics processing“ at the Plastpol, the International Fair for Plastics Processing, which took place from May 24 to 27 in Kielce, Poland.

WITTMANN BATTENFELD’s overriding theme at this year’s Plastpol was the costand energy-efficiency displayed on the all-electric machines of the new PowerSeries product generation. But the all-electric machines’ capability for medical technology was also demonstrated.

WITTMANN BATTENFELD has received medals in the category „machines and equipment for plastics processing“ for its MicroPower, the machine of the company`s PowerSeries designed for the injection molding of small and micro parts. One of the most interesting aspects of the MicroPower is its innovative two-step screw-plunger injection unit. This injection unit can be used to inject thermally homogeneous melt, resulting in premium-quality parts while ensuring extremely stable production and short cycle times, explains the manufacturer.

At the Plastpol, a MicroPower 15/7.5 was used to produce paper clips from POM with a six-cavity mold from Microsystems UK in a cycle time of just 4 seconds. The finished parts fell onto a conveyor belt.
