DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Increases Ethylene Copolymer Resin Prices

DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP, www.dupont.com) announced a price increase of up to 0,15 USD per pound for the following ethylene copolymer product lines: DuPont™ Appeel®, Bynel®, DuPontTM 20, Elvaloy®, Elvaloy® AC, Elvax®, Entira™, Fusabond®, Nucrel®, Selar®, and Surlyn®. The increase will take effect immediately. Specific increases in local currency will be communicated to customers by DuPont P&IP’s regional sales and marketing organizations.

The record rise in raw materials and energy costs are affecting companies throughout the global value chains. “Our business has been working diligently to offset these unprecedented cost increases, however, this dramatic escalation is forcing us to make structural changes to our product pricing,” noted William F. Weber, global business director -- DuPont Ethylene Copolymers. “These increases are needed to continue to support market growth with innovative products that our customers have come to expect from DuPont.”
