Dow Building Solutions to increase prices for all STYROFOAM EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE FOAM products across Europe

Due to continued increases in raw material prices, Dow will raise prices for all STYROFOAMTM EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE FOAM products across Europe, effective September 1, 2006. "The current pricing of STYROFOAMTM products does not allow for sufficient margins due to continued increases in key raw material costs," said Christophe Marché, European Asset Manager for Dow Building Solutions. Based on this situation, Dow is announcing a price increase across the European regions of 8 Euro/m3 for all STYROFOAMTM products, effective September 1, 2006, or as contract terms allow. Advert This new price increase is additional to the price increase announced for June 15th. Further price increases are anticipated if raw material costs continue to increase, said Mr. Marche.
