Erema: Optimising energy consumption in plastics recycling machines

The new ecoSAVE technology will help operators of EREMA plastics recycling systems to reduce their energy costs even further in future.

For the customer, ecoSAVE means a reduction in production costs and further optimisation of energy consumption. EREMA, however, also sees ecoSAVE as a commitment to environmental protection and a contribution to lowering CO2 emissions. For this reason the new technology will be a standard additional benefit for customers on all machines starting 2010 and at no additional cost.

Besides the clear marking (Photo) on the recycling machines, ecoSAVE is a whole package of measures in terms of design and process engineering. These measures include the use of high-quality energy-saving components, such as high-performance motors, for example.

Advert

In practice this means potential savings of around 370,000 kWh and 230 tons of CO2 reduction within seven years, based on an EREMA system with a production capacity of about 1,500 t/a working in 3 shifts (42,000 operating hours).
