Dow Europe GmbH (www.dow.com) is announcing a price increase across the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions for polyethylene (PE) resins, based on the continued raw material cost developments that the company is experiencing and the need to restore its margins. Effective June 1, 2009, or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe GmbH will increase prices by 50 Euros per metric ton for all grades of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins. Price Increase for Styrenic Copolymers Products Effective June 1, 2009, or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe GmbH will increase its prices for all MAGNUM™ ABS and TYRIL™ SAN grades by 80 Euro per metric tonne across the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions. Dow’s raw material costs with respect to Styrenic Copolymers products have continued to increase over the last few weeks resulting in unacceptable margins for Dow. As a result, Dow Europe GmbH is announcing a price increase for these Styrenic Copolymers products. |
