Call for papers: 13th International Congress for Battery Recycling ICBR08
|
The 13th International Congress for Battery Recycling organised by ICM AG (www.icm.ch) will take place from 17-19 September 2008 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Speakers and participants will discuss the following topics: Advert • Worldwide update of legislative issues regarding the battery and recycling industry
• Reports about the revision and the implementation of the Battery Directive in the EU • How do battery manufacturers close the recycling loop? • International overview of the battery market and collection systems • Safety aspects for production, use, collection and recycling of batteries • Ecodesign and battery removeability from electronics • Hybrid vehicles: Status of development and recycling prospects • Battery collection rate: Success vs. economics! • Recent development in rechargeable battery technologies • Best available technologies for battery recycling The participants will also have the chance to visit the two outstanding battery recycling plants of Umicore in Olen (Belgium) and DK Recycling in Duisburg. The organisers have launched a call for papers and invite interested authors to submit their proposal before February 29, 2008. |
