Witosa GmbH, based in Frankenberg-Wangershausen, Germany, will present two developments in its additively manufactured hot runner technology at Fakuma 2026. With "Monolith Lite", the company is expanding its "Monolith" product range with a lower-priced entry-level version. At the same time, "Monolith Plus Multi" is being expanded to include a valve-gated version with an integrated prechamber. With "Monolith Lite", Witosa aims to lower the cost barrier to adopting additively manufactured hot runner technology. The underlying "Monolith" technology uses additive manufacturing, among other things, to optimize melt flow paths and thermal insulation. The trade fair announcement does not provide specific pricing information or technical performance data for the new Lite version. For "Monolith Plus Multi", the focus is on combining several functions within a compact installation space. The system enables multiple gating points and integrates cooling and mechanical support for the mold insert. Ejectors can also be accommodated as an option. As a new development, Witosa is introducing a valve-gated version with an integrated prechamber. For the "Monolith Plus Multi" series, Witosa specifies fully balanced, flow-polished melt channels and two to eight interchangeable nozzle tips arranged on a pitch circle diameter of 16 mm to 32 mm. Cooling water channels are integrated into the hot runner nozzle to supply the mold insert. Recesses for round and flat ejector pins can also be incorporated into the design. The company does not specify to what extent these technical characteristics also apply to the new valve-gated version.
