Plast 2029: Italian Plastics Trade Fair Returns to Spring

Trade fair organizer Promaplast has announced the dates for the 21st edition of the international trade fair "Plast". The event will take place from May 15 to 18, 2029, at the Fiera Milano exhibition center in Rho near Milan, Italy. The trade fair will thus return to its spring schedule. Opening hours are planned from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Review of the 2026 Edition
According to the organizer, "Plast 2026" recorded around 35,000 visits. International visitors accounted for 25 percent of the total and came from 110 countries. More than 1,000 companies exhibited across 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, with 44 percent of exhibitors coming from abroad. More than 350 selected international industry representatives participated in a delegation program organized jointly with the Italian Trade Agency (Agenzia ICE). Several events in the accompanying conference program were fully booked.

Focus and Further Planning
The planned exhibition scope for 2029 includes machinery and equipment for plastics and rubber processing, as well as raw materials for the production of semi-finished and finished products. According to the European industry association Euromap, the event is particularly important for relations between European machinery manufacturers and markets in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Promaplast intends to publish further details on exhibitor registration, accompanying thematic trade fairs, innovation initiatives and internationalization projects at a later date. No specific details have been announced so far.
