Petcore (www.petcore.org) is a non-profit trade association fostering the economic collection, recovery and recycling of post consumer PET containers in Europe. Petcore announced the launch of its website into French (www.petcore.org/languages/fr/), German (www.petcore.org/languages/de/) and Italian (www.petcore.org/languages/it/). “The Petcore site has been available in English for quite a number of years now. Yet, it became more and more evident that providing information in a variety of European languages would be a very strong asset for Petcore’s external communications.” Said Paola Verardi, the Communications Director of Petcore. “As of the beginning of last year we have put a strong emphasis in educating children on PET, PET collection and PET recycling. To provide information in different tongues meant to get the Petcore point across to our main target audience more successfully, and the same applies for the translation of the video”. “French, German and Italian were chosen first, because France, Germany and Italy are key markets for PET, both from the viewpoint of virgin and recycled material. Nevertheless, given the important role other countries play and will continue playing in PET in the future, other languages are being contemplated. Proposing the site into as many languages as possible is undeniably one of the main aims of Petcore’s future communications efforts.” |
