Bayer MaterialScience expands its distribution network for polycarbonates in Eastern Europe through the addition of ALBIS

Bayer MaterialScience (www.bayermaterialscience.com) is stepping up its activities in Eastern Europe by expanding its cooperation with the ALBIS Group (Hamburg, www.albis.com). Bayer MaterialScience has added ALBIS to its existing partners in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania for the distribution of the high-performance plastics Makrolon® (PC), APEC® (PC-HT), Bayblend® (PC/ABS) and Makroblend® (PC/PBT) from its polycarbonates portfolio. In Western Europe, ALBIS already successfully distributes products of Bayer MaterialScience for more than 40 years.

“Eastern Europe is an attractive growth market for a wide variety of industries. We want to boost supply for our customers in this region by offering another alternative for high-quality polycarbonate materials for innovative applications,” explains Dr. Dennis McCullough, head of the Polycarbonates Advanced Resins Division for Europe and Latin America at Bayer MaterialScience.
