DuPont Filaments to Raise Monofilament Prices

DuPont Filaments – Europe, BV (www.dupont.com) today announced that it will implement price increases for their nylon 612, nylon 610 and polyester monofilaments effective Sept. 1. The increases range from 3 to 8 percent for widely used grades; higher percentages may apply to some specialty products. Rising costs of raw materials and energy are driving this increase of DuPont Filaments´ prices. DuPont Filaments remains very committed to this business. These price increases enable DuPont Filaments to remain a sustainable supplier in the future. The increases apply to all market segments and all brands of filaments. They cover DuPont™ Tynex® filaments for toothbrushes, paintbrushes and cosmetic brushes, DuPont™ Chinex® and DuPont™ Orel® filaments for paintbrushes and DuPont™ Tynex® A abrasive filaments for industrial finishing and floor cleaning. |
