Lanxess: Price increase for several synthetic elastomers
|
The High Performance Elastomers business unit of specialty chemicals company Lanxess raises its prices for several synthetic rubbers in Europe, Middle East and Africa effective June 1, 2015 as follows: • The price adjustments per metric ton for its EPDM grades is EUR 100. • The price adjustment per metric ton for its NBR grades is EUR 90. • The price adjustment per metric ton for its CR grades is EUR 100. EPDM which is offered under the brand name Keltan is used in the automotive industry for the manufacture of door sealants, hoses, belts or anti-vibration parts. The product is also used in plastic modification, wire and cable, construction and oil additives. NBR which is offered under the brand names Perbunan, Krynac and Baymod N, is used for seals, hoses in hydraulic and pneumatic applications or blankets for rolls. CR which is offered under the brand name Baypren is used in applications like cable sheathings, hoses, belts and air springs.
