FKuR: New transparent biocompound can be processed on conventional extruders and injection moulding machines

The FKuR Kunststoff GmbH (www.fkur.de) has completed the product range "Nature Compounds" by a new, transparent universally applicable biodegradable granulate suited for blowing film and injection moulding: "Biograde 200C". An outstanding advantage of the new formulation is the troublefree processing on conventional flat film lines without elaborate adaptation of screws, dies or down stream equipment. Also troublefree manufacture of injection moulded parts on conventional injection moulding machinery is possible.

Blown film and moulded parts of Biograde 200C stand out through high stiffness and brilliant transparency. Films of Biograde 200C can be thermoformed to cups and trays without complications. In comparison to previous biopolymers Biograde 200C offers exceptional barrier properties. Furthermore injection moulded parts show properties comparable to Polystyrene. Biograde 200C consists at 100% of renewable resources.
