Dow Europe: Price Increase for PE, PP and Cable Compounds anounced
|
Supply for polyethylene and polypropylene resins, wire and cable compounds, and engineered laminates remains tight due to strong demand from resin converters, and the present prices do not allow for acceptable margins for Dow in the current market conditions. Based on this situation, Dow Europe GmbH is announcing the following prices increases. Effective December 1, 2004, a price increase of 100 Euro per metric ton for all grades of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resins and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins, DOWLEX* polyethylene resins, ATTANE* ultra low density polyethylene (ULDPE) copolymers, ELITE* enhanced polyethylene resins, ASPUN* fiber grade resins, INSPIRE* performance polymers, and polypropylene resins. Advert Effective January 1, 2005, a price increase of 300 Euro per metric ton for wire and cable compounds, and engineered laminates.
