Uhde Inventa-Fischer: DISCAGE® reactor and equipment for Korea

DISCAGE® reactor during shipment
Uhde Inventa-Fischer has acquired an order from SK Chemicals Co., Ltd. for the supply of a state-of-the-art and patented DISCAGE® reactor as well as of special equipment for the production of high performance PET. SK Chemicals Co., Ltd. will use the new equipment for the revamp of one of its own plants in Ulsan, Republic of Korea, reports the company.

The specially developed, product-gentle and extremely energy-efficient DISCAGE® final reactor has the great advantage of ensuring the permanently high melt viscosity required in the production of high-molecular PET-material, says the manufacturer.
