Styron: Price increases for polystyrene and copolymers in Europe

Styron Europe GmbH and its affiliate companies in Europe recently announced price increases for all polystyrene and copolymer grades. Effective immediately, or as existing contract terms allow, the June contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • STYRON™ general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS), STYRON™ and STYRON A-TECH™ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by 40 Euro per metric ton
  • MAGNUM™ ABS resins by 50 Euro per metric ton
  • TYRIL™ SAN resins by 40 Euro per metric ton

The price increases are in response to the rising costs associated with the manufacturing of polystyrene and copolymers grades in Europe.
