Joma Polytec GmbH is investing twelve million euros in a new plant and building another production and storage hall at its site in Bodelshausen, district of Tübingen, Germany. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring. Completion is expected in about one year. Joma Polytec specialises in plastics technology, hydromechanics and extrusion and has its own tool shop. The company has subsidiaries, sales and manufacturing partnerships in Europe, North America and Asia. In Bodelshausen, almost 9,000 square meters will be available for extrusion in the future. The company currently operates 14 extruders and plans to double this number. According to further information, the expansion in the extrusion business area is to take place due to the current, hardly manageable demand for profiles for window frames as well as due to the demand for energy-related renovations. Joma Polytec currently employs 490 people and generated sales of approx. 95 million in 2017. Managing partners of the family business are Alexander Maute and his brother Dr. Hans-Ernst Maute. Further expansion at Joma Kunshan As early as mid-February, the company reported that its Chinese subsidiary Joma Kunshan continued to develop well. Three new injection moulding machines have now been put into operation. A total of five injection moulding machines are now in operation at the plant in China. The number of employees has now risen to 13. More information: |
