Trinseo: Price Increase for Polystyrene, Polycarbonate and Copolymers in Europe

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe yesterday announced a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC) and ABS grades. Effective March 1, 2021, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • "Styron“ general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by 520 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron“and „Styron A-Tech“, „Styron C-Tech“ and „Styron X-Tech“ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by 520 Euro per metric ton
  • "Calibre“ Polycarbonate Resins by 600 Euro per metric ton
  • "Magnum" ABS resins by 430 Euro per metric ton
