Trinseo: Price Decrease for Polystyrene in Europe

Trinseo, a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics and latex binders, and its affiliate companies in Europe yesterday announced a price decrease for polystyrene (PS) grades. Effective September 1, 2021, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will decrease as follows:

  • "Styron" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) decrease by -65 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech", "Styron C-Tech" and "Styron X-Tech" high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) decrease by -55 Euro per metric ton
