Weima: Good intake of orders at K 2007 for plastics shredding machines

WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH (www.weima.com) has been able to conclude several purchase contracts directly at the K 2007 fair especially for single shaft shredders for shredding of plastics. The customers originated mainly from abroad, but a very high level of enquiries was also recorded from the domestic market, especially by new customers. Overall, the company has been able to gain and extremely large number of good contacts with real potential for post-fair business.

It was particularly with single shaft shredders that a clear trend towards large machines was noted, starting with the WLK 15 with working width of 1,500 mm, and with throughput performance of 500 kg/h upwards.

New member of VDMA
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH has recently become a new member of the plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers’ association within the German Engineering Federation, VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.), in Frankfurt am Main. The association is made up of important producers of machinery, plant and additional equipment for compounding and processing of plastics and rubber.
