Krahn Chemie: Europe-wide Distribution Rights for Polyethylene Waxes from BASF
|
Krahn Chemie has obtained the distribution rights for BASF's "Luwax" product range of polyethylene waxes. The Hamburg-based chemical distributor will thus supply customers throughout Europe with the waxes from the petrochemical company. With this agreement, Krahn Chemie expands its product portfolio with a range of specialty technical waxes that are used in numerous industrial applications. Advert BASF's "Luwax" products include homo- and copolymer waxes that improve surface properties and can be used as lubricants, dispersing, anti-blocking, slip, matting, or gloss control agents. While homopolymers are primarily used for surface modification, copolymers are particularly suitable as dispersing agents for pigments and carbon black in plastic masterbatches. Further areas of application include PVC processing, rubber formulations, adhesives, cleaning products, textiles, leather, as well as paints, coatings, and printing inks.
